Lando Norris: I hope Mercedes get a double disqualification in Las Vegas and forget to pit in Qatar

Lando Norris secured a back-to-back victory at the Dutch Grand Prix, triumphing in a chaotic race in Zandvoort. The McLaren driver, who clinched victory in Hungary earlier, started on pole position and held off Mercedes teammate George Russell and title leader Kimi Antonio by an 11-second margin. Max Verstappen's championship hopes were dashed following a high-speed crash on the opening lap, resulting in a red flag.

Antonio took the lead from Norris after the restart, but the defending Formula One champion fought back to secure the checkered flag. Norris commented, "A tough race. Yesterday I said we needed to put on a bit of a show for everyone for the final race here. I made it tough for myself today but a good race, well fought." Verstappen, who crashed out at Zandvoort, expressed his disappointment with the race saying, "Probably one of my better wins, we had to fight for it.

The pace was very strong and we managed things well." Antonio's teammate George Russell followed the team orders to let Antonio through late in the race, allowing the teenager to increase his championship lead to 59 points. Russell and Lewis Hamilton are tied for second place, both having 183 points after Antonio's fourth-place finish.

Hamilton's teammate Charles Leclerc finished fifth, while Oscar Piastri and Liam Lawson rounded out the top six for Red Bull. Despite the intense race, Antonio admitted, "It was sliding a lot, Lando passed me and I knew I had no chance after that. George was a great team player, happy for him to hold on to P3 as well." When asked about his chances of challenging Antonio for the title, Norris replied, "It sounds boring but one race at a time.

There's no point thinking that far ahead, I need to concentrate on having a nice little break. Two great weekends but we need to reset and learn as much as we can." Following the race, Russell secured the final podium position, with the help of a virtual safety car due to debris on the track, holding off Hamilton. Norris celebrated his second win of the weekend, saying, "The fight is still on."
