Federal territories PAS to set up 11 task forces for GE16

Federal territories PAS has announced the establishment of 11 task forces to prepare for the upcoming 16th general election (GE16), according to PAS commissioner Azhar Yahya. These task forces will be composed of professionals, technocrats, and activists who will work together to develop policies for the three federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan.

Azhar emphasized that these task forces are part of PAS's efforts to govern the federal territories and oversee the federal territories ministry. He clarified that PAS is not solely comprised of religious scholars but has a wealth of professionals with expertise in various fields. The formation of these task forces demonstrates PAS's commitment to creating a structured, realistic, and people-oriented agenda for the federal territories.

During the state chapter's convention in Kuala Lumpur, 12 resolutions were put forward by the state chapter to address issues such as affordable housing, public transport, and the cost of living for federal territories residents. Azhar stated that the party will unveil its manifesto for GE16 based on research conducted by its professionals through the state chapter's research institute.
