English cricket investigates reported nightclub incident involving test bowler Brydon Carse

England's cricket authorities are probing a reported nightclub incident involving fast bowler Brydon Carse, who is part of the team preparing for an upcoming match against Pakistan. Footage shared on social media on Sunday seemed to depict Carse handcuffed and being escorted out of a club by police. The videos were reportedly filmed outside a nightclub in Derby, England, on Saturday, following Durham's victory over Derbyshire in a County Championship game.

The England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Sunday that they are aware of the incident and are currently conducting an investigation. They stated that they would provide an update when more information becomes available. As of now, Carse remains in the England squad for the second test match, set to begin on Thursday at Lord's.

The allegations echo a similar incident from June involving then-test captain Ben Stokes and bowler Gus Atkinson, which resulted in both players being dropped from a match against New Zealand. Stokes has since returned to the team but announced his retirement.
