‘Denying women their right’: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis slams Rahul Gandhi

After Congress MP Rahul Gandhi delivered his speech on women's empowerment during a Chhatron Ki Goonj event in Pune, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra criticized his claim on Sunday. Fadnavis stated that he does not want women to have their rights, in contrast to Gandhi's message. However, Shiv Sena (UBT) praised Gandhi as the reassuring voice of India.

The Shiv Sena leader also expressed her admiration for the spontaneous turnout of over 1.50 lakh young participants in the event. The Shiv Sena colleague Sanjay Raut accused the BJP of making baseless allegations against the event, highlighting the Rs 1,500 Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme as another example of a paid event. Rahul Gandhi's Pune event received mixed reactions from other state BJP leaders and NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, who appreciated the enthusiasm and liveliness in the crowd.
