LAHORE: The Lahore Traffic Police has initiated a crackdown on overloading and the use of LPG cylinders in school transport vehicles, rickshaws, and buses, to ensure the safety of children. According to Lahore CTO Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi, the use of LPG cylinders in any vehicle transporting school children is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, no rickshaw driver will be permitted to have a child seated on the front seat. Hanging school bags or other items from the rickshaw sides is also banned.
