2027: Omo-Agege lacks campaign ideas — Delta commissioner

Charles Aniagwu, the Delta State Commissioner for Works and Public Information, has criticized former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege for lacking campaign ideas. Aniagwu made this assessment during an interview on Arise Television on Sunday. According to him, on Omo-Agege's first day of campaigning, he did not present his plans to win the Delta Central senatorial seat.

Instead, Omo-Agege accused Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of threatening to eliminate him and his family. Omo-Agege alleged that there was a threat to his life and those of his family members from the Delta State Government House in Asaba, urging the Nigerian public, the international community, civil society organizations, the media, and security agencies to take note of these alleged threats.

Aniagwu expressed concern over the "disturbing and increasingly credible threats" to Omo-Agege and his family. The commissioner further stated that Omo-Agege was simply using the threat to gain media attention. Aniagwu noted that Omo-Agege and other individuals who lack campaign ideas are not on the same ballot. He also emphasized that Governor Oborevwori has not been making any threats during his tenure, highlighting the safety and tranquility in Delta State over the past three and a half years.
