2027: 500 Islamic scholars endorse Tinubu, presidential aide claims

President Bola Tinubu's Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari, announced on Saturday that approximately 500 Islamic scholars and religious leaders endorsed the President's re-election campaign for the 2027 presidential election. This endorsement took place during the Northern Muslim Intellectual Forum held in Dutse, Jigawa State, which brought together Islamic scholars, intellectuals, religious leaders and other stakeholders from northern states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The forum, which lasted at the Sir Ahmadu Bello Hall, new secretariat, Dutse, had discussions on security, socio-economic and developmental challenges facing the region. The participants expressed satisfaction with Tinubu's approach in handling the challenges, especially the issue of insecurity, and praised his administration for the progress made in economic reform, infrastructure development, and security.

In a unanimous resolution, the participants endorsed Tinubu for re-election, expressing confidence in his administration's direction and efforts. The forum also urged Nigerians, particularly northerners, to support Tinubu's re-election and vote for other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.
