Ukrainians rally in 11 cities worldwide on 22-24 August to demand Europe use Russia’s frozen billions

Ukrainians are marching in 11 cities across 10 countries between August 22 and 24 to demand Europe utilize Russia's frozen assets to fund Ukraine. The rallies coincide with Ukrainian Independence Day and focus on four key demands, namely using European sanctions against Russia, making Russia pay for the war, establishing a shield against drone attacks, and seeking justice and accountability.

The International Center for Ukrainian Victory (ICUV) and the Communities Army of Ukraine organized the events, which will take place in cities such as Seoul, Linköping, Basel, Sydney, Lyon, Nantes, Leipzig, Thessaloniki, Vilnius, Rzeszów, and Alicante. The rallies are asking for sanctions to be effective, Russia to shoulder the financial burden of the war, Ukraine to have an effective defense system, and for those responsible for the war to be held accountable.
