Qatar strongly condemns Israeli attack on civilian vehicle in Damascus countryside

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned Israel's drone attack on a civilian vehicle in Beit Jinn, a town in Syria's Damascus countryside, resulting in injuries to civilians. Qatar views this incident as an unacceptable assault and a violation of Syria's sovereignty, posing a threat to the nation's security and safety.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that Israel's persistent breaches of the sovereignty of regional countries represent a severe approach, an intolerable escalation, and a disregard for international law. The ministry stressed the necessity for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in halting these abuses and ensuring they do not recur, warning that the absence of accountability fosters further violations and jeopardizes security and stability in the region.

Furthermore, the Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's unwavering stance in supporting the Syrian Arab Republic, affirming its solidarity with the Syrian government in all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The ministry also expressed hope for the injured individuals to make a swift recovery.
