NCCIA Raids Foreign-Operated Call Center in Islamabad

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) conducted a raid on a foreign-operated call center located in Islamabad's G-8 sector, as part of its ongoing efforts to combat alleged cybercrime and fraud networks. The operation was initiated following the receipt of confidential information regarding the call center. The raid was conducted with the authorization of the relevant authorities and a search warrant.

At the time of the raid, no foreign or Pakistani individuals suspected of involvement in cybercrime were present at the site. The NCCIA removed various digital devices and other significant materials from the call center. These items have been forwarded for forensic examination to ascertain any potential connections to cybercrime and fraudulent activities.

The agency stated that its ongoing crackdown on organized cybercrime networks and illegal call centers will persist. Authorities are specifically targeting networks purportedly utilizing deceptive digital schemes to prey on citizens. Officials noted that a comprehensive report on the operation will be disclosed once the investigation and verification procedures are concluded.
