Kim announces audit of construction of National Military Memorial Cemetery

Ukraine’s Minister for Veterans Affairs, Vitaliy Kim, has announced an audit of the construction of the National Military Memorial Cemetery. The audit is part of a broader effort to address gaps in the construction and ensure the proper honoring and commemoration of the fallen. Kim stated that the audit will take up to a month to determine whether there are any issues with the memorial cemetery.

Earlier this year, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the creation of the National Military Memorial Cemetery as a state-owned institution, with plans to complete the project by August 2025 in the Hatne community near Kyiv. Kim emphasized that respecting the service and sacrifice of veterans is a top priority for his ministry, aiming to foster a culture of reverence for those who defended the country.
