Hampir 100,000 kandungan penipuan diturunkan hingga Julai

Hampir 100,000 pieces of deceptive social media content were removed by July 15, surpassing the 98,503 items taken down throughout all of 2025, according to Johor Bahru Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching. The number of requests submitted to social media platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube for the removal of such content stood at 106,268 during the same period, compared to 102,113 requests in the previous year.

"While the requests are submitted by MCMC (Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Commission), the platforms still have the ultimate power to remove or retain the content," she told reporters following the 2026 Johor Madani Kita (PMK) Program at Taman Desa Skudai. As Johor celebrates its national day, Teo reminded the public to ensure the Jalur Gemilang flag is flown correctly, as the national flag is a significant symbol of the nation.

The Communications and Multimedia Ministry (JaPEN) also conducted the 1Home 1Jalur Gemilang campaign throughout the National Day from August to September to encourage the public to display the national flag correctly. "We receive many complaints about the actions taken by local authorities or the police being inconsistent when it comes to different locations.

I believe that is also an issue we need to address, as we do not want to create fear among the public for raising the Jalur Gemilang," Teo said.
