EPL: Bruno Fernandes blames Man Utd players for 2-0 defeat to Hull City

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has criticized his teammates for their performance against Hull City, who secured a 2-0 victory over the Red Devils in their Premier League opener. Semi Ajayi and Nobel Mendy scored the goals for Hull City, exploiting United's defensive errors. Fernandes pointed out that they made the same mistakes as they did last season, particularly in giving the ball away too easily.

He stated, "Same mistakes as we did last season, every away game we give too much of the ball to them." Fernandes also emphasized the need for the team to press harder and be more aggressive in the first half, as the goalkeeper was the one with the most touches. He further highlighted the importance of improving their set-play defense and not conceding goals of this nature.

Understanding the Tigers' propensity for exploiting set-pieces, Fernandes noted that the team had prepared with a back four formation but faced a five-man defense, which proved advantageous for Hull City.
