Adobe Techie Had A Fight With Wife. His In-Laws Thrashed Him To Death

A software engineer employed by Adobe was allegedly beaten to death at his home in Delhi's Nihal Vihar area on Friday, August 21, following a domestic dispute with his wife, according to reports. The victim, Vinay Gupta, was 31 years old and had been married for three-and-a-half years, with twins aged four-and-a-half months. His wife, a homemaker, reportedly argued with Gupta over administering medicine to one of their infants.

After an argument, Gupta's wife contacted her family and returned with several relatives, including her brothers, sister-in-law, father and uncle. The group allegedly confronted Gupta, leading to a violent assault where he was reportedly punched, kicked, and possibly strangled, suffering severe injuries to his chest. Gupta's mother discovered the assault when she returned to the house and raised an alarm, but it was too late.

CCTV cameras inside the house were allegedly switched off before the incident, according to the victim's family. Police have detained four individuals, including Gupta's wife and relatives, and are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to determine the circumstances of the assault.
