Zelenskyy briefs Guterres on crimes committed during Russian aggression

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy engaged in a phone conversation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, informing him of the ongoing Russian attacks and the heavy civilian casualties. In a Telegram post on Friday evening, Zelenskyy detailed the gravity of the situation, condemning the massive Russian assaults on Kyiv and other cities.

The UN chief expressed his disapproval of these attacks. Zelenskyy highlighted the threat to food security and Russia's targeting of port infrastructure and ships, noting the global impact on countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, leading to rising prices. Despite Russia's refusal to negotiate, the Ukrainian president stressed the urgency of ending the war and agreed that the UN would collaborate in their joint efforts to resolve the conflict.
