Varalakshmi Vratam performed with religious fervour

On the auspicious day of Varalakshmi Vratam, all Mahalakshmi temples in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts were adorned with festive decorations, commencing on the early morning of Friday during the Sravanam month. The Ishwarya Venkateswara Sameta Ashtalakshmi temple in Ayyannapeta, Vizianagaram, experienced a significant influx of devotees as temple trustees Durga Balaji, Durga Umadevi, and others meticulously prepared for the vratam.

Similarly, the Sri Kanyakaparameswari temple, Mahalakshmi temple at Jagannath Swamy temple, Cheepurupalli Mahalakshmi temple, Kammasigadam Mahalakshmi temple in Ranasthalam mandal, Ashtalakshmi temple of P.N. Colony in Srikakulam also witnessed numerous celestial activities such as Kumkum puja and Ksheerabhisekham. According to Hindu beliefs, worshipping Goddess Varalakshmi on the second Friday of Sravana masam is equivalent to worshipping eight boons including wealth, education, courage, and victory. Varalakshmi, a manifestation of Goddess Mahalakshmi, bestows righteous boons upon her devotees.
