Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s US trip cancelled after Centre denies clearance

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's trip to the United States has been canceled after his request for clearance from the central government was denied. The CM had planned a ten-day tour of the UK and US, beginning on August 20, to sign business Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). However, on Friday, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that political clearance had been denied.

Telangana CM's office is seeking further clarification from MEA officials, but it has been confirmed that Revanth Reddy will return to Hyderabad from London on August 23, rather than proceeding to Boston. Despite the setback, Revanth Reddy has directed the 'Telangana Rising' delegation to continue with the US tour and sign MoUs with prestigious educational institutions such as Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Northeastern University, and Virginia Tech.
