Qatar, eleven Arab and Islamic countries condemn Israeli air raids targeting Syria's Abu Al Duhur military airport

Eleven Arab and Islamic nations, including Qatar, Jordan, Algeria, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritania, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and Turkey, have strongly denounced Israeli airstrikes on Syria's Abu Al Duhur Military Airport in northwestern Syria.

These ministers emphasized that the attacks represent a grave escalation and a clear breach of Syria's sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity. They expressed deep concern over the ongoing targeting of Syria's territory and infrastructure, noting the significant damage caused. The ministers stressed that these actions pose a direct threat to Syria's efforts to restore security, rebuild national institutions, and address the humanitarian crises stemming from years of conflict.

The ministers also underscored that continued Israeli violations of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity could exacerbate tensions, undermine regional peace and stability, and weaken respect for international law and UN Charter principles. They urged the international community to adopt a firm and principled stance against the aggression against Syria, and to take concrete actions in line with international law and the UN Charter to halt these violations, ensure respect for the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, and facilitate the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied territories, thereby preventing further escalation and safeguarding regional peace and stability.

The ministers reiterated their commitment to respecting Syria's sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity, and reiterated their opposition to any attempt to undermine these core principles.
