PRN Melaka: BN timbang manfaat, mudarat sebelum putus kerjasama, kata Zahid

In Melaka, the Barisan Nasional (BN) is considering the advantages and disadvantages of working together before deciding to end political cooperation for the Melaka State Election (PRN), according to Deputy Chief Minister Zahid Hamidi. The party's leadership in Melaka, including Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh, has been given the mandate to hold discussions on the form of collaboration to face the PRN.

Zahid emphasized that any discussions must take into account both advantages and disadvantages, prioritizing benefits over drawbacks. Any cooperation with various parties or alliances should consider these aspects. Zahid, who also serves as the deputy prime minister, stressed that any collaboration should be based on honesty and sincerity, as well as the readiness of all parties to abide by the agreed-upon promises.

He made these remarks while discussing the progress of discussions between BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) to face the PRN in Melaka. There is also a possibility of cooperation between BN and Perikatan Nasional (PN), which has been working together on the PRN in Negeri Sembilan since the beginning of the month. When discussing BN's relationship with PH following their victory in Johor and Negeri Sembilan, Zahid stated that the cooperation between the two blocs remains strong at the national level.

This cooperation extends beyond meetings of the Council of Rulers and involves coordination between ministries through a comprehensive government approach. "This is done to resolve problems for the benefit of the nation and political stability," he said.
