PRN Melaka: BN timbang manfaat, mudarat sebelum putus kerjasama, kata Zahid

In Melaka, the Barisan Nasional (BN) is evaluating the benefits and drawbacks of all parties before deciding on any political cooperation for the state's upcoming election, according to Party Secretary Zahid Hamidi. Zahid stated that discussions on determining the cooperation formula will take into account the local political situation and readiness before it reaches the national level for scrutiny and validation.

He said that Chief Minister of Melaka and BN/Umno state chairman Ab Rauf Yusoh has been given the mandate to convene talks regarding the form of cooperation to face the PRN.

Zahid emphasized that any such discussions should consider the benefits over the drawbacks, prioritizing benefits over drawbacks. He also stressed that any cooperation with any party or coalition must be based on honesty and sincerity, along with the readiness of all parties to adhere to the agreed-upon pledges. As the discussion of potential cooperation between BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the Melaka PRN unfolded, Zahid mentioned the possibility of cooperation between BN and Perikatan Nasional (PN) which has been working towards the PRN in Negeri Sembilan earlier this month.
