Over 21,000 Pakistanis deported from Gulf countries

Between March 1 and July 13, 2026, a total of 21,951 Pakistanis were deported from Gulf countries for a variety of reasons. The Ministry of Narcotics Control revealed this figure in response to a question raised by MNA Hameed Hussain during the National Assembly's Question Hour. The deportations included 4,628 absconders, 1,294 jailed individuals, and 968 Pakistanis listed as blacklisted.

Additionally, 1,155 Pakistanis were deported due to lost passports, 689 were removed for visa violations, and 342 were involved in refused entries into Gulf States. The largest number of deportations came from Saudi Arabia, with nearly 15,500 Pakistanis sent back, followed by the United Arab Emirates, which deported 3,803 nationals.

Oman deported 1,606 Pakistanis, Bahrain expelled 521, Qatar 429, and Kuwait sent back only 97 citizens. The "Others" category accounted for 6,662 deportations, with specifics on offenses not provided. The Ministry of Interior did not elaborate on the nature of these offenses. Notably, 472 Pakistani beggars were among the deported, and nine individuals were removed via Interpol.

The Gulf States also deported those who refused onward travel, had expired documents, were involved in theft, or were linked to war zones. Saudi Arabia led in deporting absconders, expelling 3,921 Pakistanis, while the UAE and Oman deported 636 and 295 respectively for similar reasons.
