Osun: ‘Let us unite, heal together’ – Adeleke condoles families of electoral violence victims

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged residents to heal and unite following his re-election, while also paying tribute to victims of electoral violence prior to the election. In a statement posted on his official social media platform, Adeleke expressed gratitude for the trust residents had placed in him for another term, emphasizing the victory as a shared one.

He accepted the renewed mandate with humility and a sense of duty, stating, "This victory belongs to all of us, and I accept this renewed mandate with humility and a deep sense of responsibility."

Adeleke also took a moment to mourn the loss of lives resulting from electoral violence before the election, offering his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. He reminded citizens of the support they had extended to him and his administration, including traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, civil servants, and various groups such as youths, women, artisans, traders, farmers, and others.

He called upon the people of Osun to move beyond the election results and concentrate on creating a better future for the state.

In his final remarks, Adeleke encouraged residents to come together, heal from the past, and unite in the pursuit of progress. He reiterated, "Together, let us heal, unite and continue building a greater Osun."
