NIOS registrations open for October-November 2026 exam; check application fees

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has launched the online registration for its upcoming October-November 2026 examination in Vocational Education Courses. The registration is exclusively for students who failed the April-May 2026 exams or those who want to improve their scores. The normal registration period, free of late charges, will be open from August 20 to September 3, 2026.

To apply, candidates must pay a fee of Rs 400 per subject or module, which covers theory, practical, and internal assessments, if applicable. NIOS has provided an extended registration window, from September 4 to September 8, 2026, for those who miss the initial deadline, with an additional late fee of Rs 150 per subject. A final registration window will be available from September 9 to September 13, 2026, for which students must pay a consolidated late fee of Rs.

1,600 per learner, in addition to the standard examination fee. Registration and payment can only be made online; offline processes are not accepted.
