Mutfwang condemns attack on Plateau community

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang condemned the barbaric attack on Bin-mper community, describing it as an unjustifiable act against innocent lives. The governor visited the community during a deep period of mourning, expressing his condolences and urging residents to draw strength from their faith. He acknowledged the government's responsibility to protect its citizens and vowed to strengthen security measures to prevent future attacks.

Mutfwang assured residents that the perpetrators would not take over their ancestral lands and promised to follow the matter through to a satisfactory conclusion. The incident occurred on the night of Monday, Aug. 18, leaving 24 people dead, including women and children. The governor visited the community in Kombum District and visited the traditional ruler's palace, assuring the support of President Bola Tinubu and the government's commitment to ending insurgency in Plateau.
