Medication adjustment caused Musiala’s recent collapses – Kompany

Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala recently experienced collapses during pre-season matches, according to head coach Vincent Kompany. The 23-year-old German international had four consecutive collapses in friendly matches against RB Leipzig and Heidenheim within four days. Musiala recently disclosed he is being treated for a neurological dysfunction causing temporary seizures, which he described as brief and manageable.

Kompany revealed that a minor adjustment to Musiala's treatment plan caused side effects, a situation that is typical when modifying treatment plans. Bayern Munich had been aware of Musiala's condition for some time, having collaborated with top medical experts to manage it. The team's sporting director Max Eberl stated that the club and players have been supportive of Musiala throughout the process. Musiala will train individually as Bayern works to restore his previous treatment regimen.
