Kunle Afod solicits support for actor Opebe amid battle with unknown illness [VIDEO]

Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afod has reached out for assistance in supporting veteran actor Opebe who is currently facing an undisclosed illness. Afod made the appeal on Friday during a visit to Opebe's home in Ibadan. In a video posted to his Instagram account, Afod stated, "Our fans, we have come again this time around for one of our elders in the industry, Baba Opebe. His health is deteriorating, weakening, I'm not sure how to describe his condition in English as you can see him."

Afod went on to request any help or support that Nigerians could provide for the ailing actor. When questioned about the nature of his medical issues, Opebe revealed that he had not been in the entertainment industry due to his health problems. He had undergone numerous tests but no specific diagnosis had been determined. Instead, he was informed that he was experiencing a blood deficiency and had received four pints of blood.

Opebe also mentioned that he had been receiving this treatment since last year. Despite undergoing treatments across various hospitals, his condition has worsened. The video documenting Afod's plea can be viewed below.
