Govs, ministers, monarchs, others grace Olu of Warri’s fifth coronation anniversary

Distinguished guests, including the governors of Delta and Lagos states, traditional rulers from various parts of the country, and prominent Nigerians, gathered in Warri to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III. The event, themed "Global Homecoming: Celebrating Our Cultural Renaissance, Unity and Transformational Progress," took place at the royal court of the Olu's palace.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, representing the diverse group of dignitaries, praised the anniversary and urged the people of Warri, Uvwie, and surrounding areas to maintain peace and unity among their ethnic groups. He also commended Ogiame Atuwatse III for his uncommon leadership abilities and his contribution to the development of Warri and the state. The governor emphasized that the Olu of Warri has taken an active interest in the administration, endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and himself for a second term.

Speaking on behalf of the dignitaries, Governor Oborevwori highlighted the significance of traditional rulers speaking out when necessary. He expressed gratitude to the Olu of Warri for his decision to endorse the current administration. The Olu of Warri, in his address, attributed his achievements to God and emphasized the role of his traditional institution in projecting Nigeria's culture and values to the world.
