FRSC promotes 7,472 personnel nationwide

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the promotion of 7,472 personnel across the country. This includes 2,134 officers and 5,338 marshals, aimed at enhancing professionalism, leadership and road safety operations. The promotion was designed to acknowledge the dedication and service of personnel who have excelled in their roles.

Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, announced the promotion on the FRSC's X platform, specifying that Heads of Departments, Officers, Special Units and Commanding Officers were to decorate the newly promoted personnel over the period of August 26 to August 28, 2026. Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, who also addressed the beneficiaries, emphasized that promotion should translate into higher standards of professionalism, accountability, leadership and service delivery.

Mohammed stressed that the quality and commitment of personnel are central to FRSC's mission of ensuring safer roads. He urged the promoted personnel to take their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility and to maintain discipline both on and off the road. The FRSC's intensified efforts in operations, technology and public awareness are aimed at reducing road traffic crashes and improving compliance with traffic regulations.
