Former Rams Hall of Famer Says Aaron Donald Will Return Later This Season

Former Rams Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis believes that linebacker Aaron Donald will return to the team this season. Despite Donald's lack of announcement about his retirement plans, Bettis is confident that the defensive end will eventually make his way to the Los Angeles Rams. The preseason games have already begun, and the Rams' regular season opener against the San Francisco 49ers is just three weeks away.

Bettis noted that there are clear indications suggesting Donald will return, stating that "he's out there, he's getting himself in shape." He further expects to see Donald "not sooner than later, but probably at some point later in the year."

Bettis also mentioned that the addition of Donald to the Rams' already impressive defensive unit would strengthen the team further. The acquisition of two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett this offseason has already elevated the team's defensive capabilities. Bettis said, "It makes them dynamic," as Donald's presence would transform the Rams' defense into a "two-man wrecking crew" alongside Garrett.
