Devendra Mahto To Launch Recruitment System Reform Yatra On Aug 24

Jharkhand's opposition party, Jharkhand Loktantrik Kranti Morcha (JLKM), has announced a recruitment system reform yatra, commencing on August 24. The Yatra will traverse all 24 districts of the state, with Devendra Mahto, the JLKM leader, asserting that their struggle will not be compromised. The move comes in response to the Jharkhand High Court staying the government's decision to cancel multiple exams, including the CGL (Central Government Library) and CDPO (Chief Development Officer) exams.

The JLKM leader emphasized that the student movement had become a focal point of national attention, and their fight was not to deprive innocent candidates of their jobs. Mahto stressed that justice must be ensured for deserving candidates and that the government should distinguish between those involved in irregularities and those who were innocent.

The government's decision to cancel 45 exams, after investigations ordered into 17 others and six postponed, was a result of allegations of irregularities, according to the CID investigation report. However, Mahto questioned why the High Court did not firmly place the report before the court, disappointing students and the people of Jharkhand.
