Pranay Reddy Vanga, brother of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has provided a new perspective on the fallout between his brother and actress Deepika Padukone over the Bollywood film Spirit. According to Vanga, the split was not solely due to demands for reasonable working hours, as previously reported, but also involved a profit-sharing request, potentially around 10 percent.

The production, Vanga claims, struggled with budget constraints and ultimately explored alternative options, leading to the leak of details about the negotiation. He emphasized that while Deepika could have made any demands, the economic feasibility of the project ultimately led to its termination. The director also noted that the leaking of these details was a setback, as it occurred after Deepika had parted ways with the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD as well.
