Bright Asadu enstooled as Wioso Mawere Hene

Bright Asadu, Executive CEO of BAM Auto Care and nephew of Wioso Hene Nana Ofori, has been enstooled as Wioso Mawere Hene. The colorful ceremony took place from August 13 to 16, 2026, and involved traditional leaders, royals, the youth, and residents of Wioso in Ghana's Ashanti Region. Enstoolment rites commenced at Wioso Palace, where Asadu was introduced to the royals, who voted to accept his selection.

Elders advised him on his responsibilities and the need to respect traditions and serve his people. He was then anointed with traditional powder and handed a ceremonial sword before taking an oath to uphold customs, fulfill duties, and remain accessible to the community. Following the procession through Wioso, he returned to the palace to pay respects to the royals and elders.

The celebrations continued on Saturday with a mini sports gala at Wioso Park, aimed at identifying young sporting talents. On Sunday, Asadu joined the youth and residents for a community clean-up exercise, after which the grand durbar was held. There, he outlined his vision for Wioso, including plans for community development projects, and engaged with community members to listen to their concerns, expectations, and ideas.
