Back to Britain — and back to acting? Meghan ‘offered role’ as Sussexes prepare for UK return

LONDON, Aug 21 — Reports suggest that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, may be looking to rekindle her acting career as she and Prince Harry prepare for their return to the United Kingdom. The BBC reported that Meghan has reportedly been offered an acting role in the UK, which could potentially lead her back into the spotlight after a seven-season stint on the US legal drama, Suits.

The project and role have not yet been confirmed, but the timing has spurred speculation about a more significant return to her acting career.

Meghan, 45, last appeared on-screen in 2018, playing Rachel Zane in Suits. After marrying Prince Harry the previous year, she chose to step away from acting, describing the decision as the commencement of a new chapter. Recently, Meghan made her first appearance in an acting role in nearly a decade, delivering a cameo as herself in the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends, alongside Lily Collins and Brie Larson.

In addition to her potential return to acting, Meghan hopes to use her time in the UK to expand her lifestyle and cooking brand, As Ever, which is based in the United States. Prince Harry and Meghan are expected to arrive in the UK before the end of August, accompanied by their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five.

The family plans to reside in a private residence outside London, with the children set to start school in September. Their return follows a family reunion in July, where Harry, Meghan, and the children visited King Charles III at Highgrove in Gloucestershire, marking the first in-person sighting of the grandchildren by the King in over four years.
