'Whatever I Said Was Wrong': Woman Apologises To Indian Army, J&K Police After Viral Confrontation Video Sparks Massive Backlash

A 25-year-old woman who engaged in a heated exchange with security personnel during a road blockade in Ladakh has apologized to the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Ladakh Police. She revealed that her frustration arose from being stranded for hours without being informed of the reason for the restriction. The woman clarified that she did not intend to disrespect the armed forces or seek attention through the incident.

She told NDTV that they were traveling from Ladakh to Delhi when they encountered a roadblock. When they asked a soldier how long it would take to proceed, the soldier informed them it would be another hour. The woman expressed her discontent with the situation, stating that she and her companions were Gen-Z and would not tolerate such behavior.

She admitted that her choice of words in the viral video was inappropriate, adding, "Whatever I said in frustration was not right at all. It was very wrong." The woman also shared the emotional impact of the video's widespread circulation on social media, admitting that she had not anticipated the extent of the criticism it would receive.

She apologized to the people of the country, the Indian Army, the J&K Police, the Ladakh Police, and specifically to Omar Abdullah. The woman explained that the circumstances leading to the confrontation were not fully evident in the brief clip that went viral. She revealed that after six hours of waiting, they learned of an altercation taking place further ahead involving the public and security personnel.

She stated that the restriction persisted even after another hour had passed, and that she and her companions were growing increasingly frustrated, paying taxes and following the rules but being unable to leave.
