Venables agrees to 2-year contract extension after leading Oklahoma to College Football Playoff

On Thursday, contract and assistant professors at Nizam College took to the streets in a rally, demanding equal pay for equal work, the implementation of the 7th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) scales, and job security for long-serving employees. The protest began at the principal's office and concluded at Gate No. 2 of the college, with the group raising concerns about the lack of regularisation and fair remuneration despite their years of service.

The employees argued that their experience and qualifications did not warrant continued employment without adequate job security or pay parity with regular staff.

The demonstrators emphasized that they should receive wages equal to those of regular staff performing similar duties. They also called for the adoption of the 7th PRC pay scales for all long-serving employees. In their appeals for regularisation, the professors cited assurances made by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy regarding job security and pay parity for eligible employees.
