Transfer: You’re not good enough to play for Man United – Teddy Sheringham slams new signing

Former Manchester United star Teddy Sheringham has harshly criticized the club's latest acquisition, Youri Tielemans, stating that the midfielder lacks the necessary skill set to excel at the highest level. In a move worth £35 million, Tielemans transferred from Aston Villa to join Manchester United, with the midfielder expected to step into a leadership role following Casemiro's departure.

Sheringham, however, believes that the club should have sought a younger player during the current transfer window due to the majority of top talent already being signed. He told MetBonus, "Manchester United have already wasted their chance to sign additional quality, as the best players have already been secured." Sheringham, who was part of the treble-winning team in 1998-99, added that Tielemans will not elevate the standards of the club or create a new standard.

Instead, he will likely follow the status quo, failing to make a significant impact on Manchester United's performance.
