Transfer: ‘Absolute bargain’ – Rio Ferdinand names player who’ll hand title to Arsenal this season

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has heralded Arsenal's acquisition of Ezri Konsa as a "remarkable" signing that could propel the Gunners to reclaim the Premier League title this season. The 28-year-old Dutch defender, signed from Aston Villa for £51 million plus add-ons, is expected to bolster Arsenal's defense, providing valuable cover in both central defense and right-back positions following injuries to William Saliba and Jurrien Timber.

Ferdinand commended Konsa's Premier League experience and assured that his £51 million transfer fee is a "bargain" in the current market, estimating that he can offer at least four to five more years of dependable and skillful service to the team. The former United star highlighted that Konsa can seamlessly integrate into the squad during the absentia of Saliba and Timber, making him an immediate asset.

Kinsa is Arsenal's fourth summer signing alongside Christos Tzolis, Illan Meslier, and Bruno Guimaraes, as well as the permanent addition of Piero Hincapie.
