Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Stars Tell All About Filming Season 4's Puppet Episode (And That Surprising Kiss)
The Enterprise has been taken over by puppets! The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds cast tells all about filming Season 4's puppet episode - watch video.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has introduced a variety of unusual elements this season, including dinosaurs and ghosts. However, the most recent addition has been something even more peculiar - puppets. During a transport accident, the Enterprise crew transformed into puppets, led by their captain Scotty. This bizarre event resulted in comedic chaos as the puppet crew faced off against a group of Orion pirates.
Despite being a puppet, Spock was able to kiss his puppet self in a dream, with both Spock and the actor Ethan Peck finding the experience strange and amusing. The puppetry was created by the renowned Jim Henson Company, with all cast members providing voices for their puppet counterparts. The technical challenge of syncing dialogue with puppet movements led to a long and arduous production process, but the enthusiasm of the puppeteers for Star Trek made the endeavor enjoyable.
