Six industrial parks to be developed in A.P. under Central scheme: Minister
The six proposals have been submitted through the prescribed BHAVYA process and are currently under consideration by the Government of India under the challenge route, Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath tells the A.P. Assembly
Andhra Pradesh has announced six sector-specific industrial parks under the Central scheme Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) in its first phase, according to Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath. The Minister confirmed that the State had completed the necessary process and submitted all proposals to the Union government for appraisal and selection.
The six proposed parks include AP Space City in Tirupati district, AP Drone City in Kurnool district, Tekulodu Aerospace and Defence Park in Sri Sathya Sai district, Makavaripalem Organic Food Park in Anakapalli district, Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone in Prakasam district, and Veldurthi Mega Textile Park in Palnadu district.
The selection of these parks was based on various factors such as industrial demand, sectoral ecosystems, location advantages, connectivity, utilities, and employment and investment potential. The government has constituted a State-level committee, a State nodal agency, and an internal BHAVYA evaluation committee to oversee the implementation of these parks.
Detailed project reports, master plans, and market assessments have been prepared, and environmental processes have been initiated. The plans also incorporate common infrastructure, worker housing, testing facilities, and skill-development infrastructure. Coordinated efforts have been made with departments concerned for water, power, and external road connectivity, with necessary comfort letters obtained.
The Minister emphasized that the proposed parks would enhance the State's industrial capabilities and contribute to the overall economic growth.
