Simultaneous Russian attack on NATO and Chinese operation in Taiwan would be very dangerous scenario - Dolhov

Ukrainian diplomat Ihor Dolhov warned of the dangerous scenario of a simultaneous Russian attack on a NATO member and a Chinese operation targeting Taiwan. Speaking on his program, Dolhov highlighted Ukraine's shortage of Patriot anti-aircraft missile launchers and missiles, not only in Ukraine but also in other countries, including the United States and Europe. The diplomat attributed this issue to the heavy use of American weapons during the Gulf War.

Russian attacks on Ukraine, particularly on its ports, pose additional risks to the country's security and economy. These strikes have significantly hampered exports through Black Sea ports and could lead to a global food crisis due to a potential blockade of Ukrainian agricultural exports. As the international security situation worsens, Russia is escalating threats against European countries and Japan, while the Middle East war diverts U.S. military resources.

Dolhov emphasized that this deteriorating security environment creates opportunities for China to increase pressure on Taiwan. He pointed out that NATO and the United States would be unable to respond effectively to such a crisis, being preoccupied with the Persian Gulf war. Dolhov stressed that Europe must prioritize strengthening its deterrence against Russia and encouraging genuine negotiations.

Earlier reports suggested that NATO leadership is increasingly considering the danger of a simultaneous threat from Russia and China.
