Samsung just set a date for its next Galaxy S26 launch, and this one is for the fans!

Samsung will unveil a new addition to the Galaxy S26 lineup on Thursday, August 27, during its "Galaxy Event August 2026." The event is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM UTC and will be streamed live on Samsung.com and the company's YouTube channel. Although the device has not been officially named, it is anticipated to be the Galaxy S26 FE.

No official specifications have been disclosed yet. According to a leaked EPREL label, the phone has received high ratings for energy efficiency and drop resistance, but a lower rating for repairability. The battery is expected to maintain performance for 1,200 charge cycles and provide 50 hours of usage on a single charge, compared to the Galaxy S25 FE's 2,000 charge cycles and 42 hours and 37 minutes of endurance.

The label also indicates an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The most significant anticipated change for the Galaxy S26 FE is the upgrade to Samsung's Exynos 2500 chipset, as confirmed by a Google Play Console listing. Additional unofficial details, including specifications and multiple leaked images of the Galaxy S26 FE, have also surfaced ahead of the launch.

Samsung is expected to reveal the complete details of the new Galaxy S26 family member during its August 27 event.
