Prime Minister says Qatar, Egypt enjoy deep-rooted relations

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani revealed on Thursday that Qatar and Egypt have signed four agreements in areas such as customs cooperation, regulatory work, development and health cooperation, and the establishment of a new hospital in Sohag, Egypt. The Prime Minister expressed optimism that the hospital will bring about a significant improvement in the health sector of the governorate.

During a joint press conference with Dr. Badr Abdelatty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates of Egypt, the Prime Minister underscored the strong bond between the two nations, describing their relationship as fraternal and founded on deep and well-established ties. The two countries are continuously seeking to elevate their cooperation to new heights, aiming to fulfill the aspirations of their respective leaderships and peoples.

The joint session of the Qatar-Egypt Joint Higher Committee touched on various topics, including support and strengthening cooperation relations across multiple fields and joint coordination in response to regional crises. The Prime Minister also mentioned a meeting with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, where they discussed key joint projects between Qatar and Egypt.

These projects include the launch of the first phase of the "Alam Al Roum" project and future opportunities in industrial and pharmaceutical sectors. The Prime Minister highlighted the ongoing regional challenges, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, and the critical juncture the region finds itself in after the Palestinian factions accepted the peace plan.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Israel's response to its commitments amid the current developments, stressing that the region remains open to peace and stability, while these appeals are being disregarded.
