NPP must heal and rebuild after 2024 defeat to win 2028 election – Former Volta Regional Organiser of the NPP

Emmanuel Korsi Bodja, a former Volta Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emphasises that the party must undergo healing and rebuilding after its 2024 electoral loss to stand a chance in the 2028 elections. Bodja, who is contesting for the NPP’s National Organiser position, believes that the party's challenges extend beyond leadership changes, necessitating a comprehensive psychological and organisational reset to restore unity, reconnect with voters, and strengthen the grassroots base.

During his campaign launch in Ho, Bodja urged both victors and vanquished in the ongoing internal elections to heal from the 2024 defeat, stating that this process should extend beyond resolving disagreements to encompass a shift in the mindset and conduct of party members. He notes that the NPP's opposition status must be reflected in their communication, voter engagement, and grassroot mobilisation efforts.

Bodja's extensive grassroots experience and organisational skills, spanning 12 years at regional and national levels, make him a compelling candidate for the National Organiser post. The NPP's current reorganisation phase, including completed local elections, sets the stage for national elections, with Bodja positioning himself as a leader capable of driving the party's comeback.
