Nanta: Rebuild of SK Felda Kota Gelanggi 1’s dilapidated building finished 310 days ahead of schedule

JERANTUT, August 20 — The reconstruction of a dilapidated building at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Felda Kota Gelanggi 1 has been finished 310 days ahead of schedule, providing students with improved and more comfortable learning facilities. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi revealed that the RM7.998 million project was completed without any extension of time, showcasing efficient project implementation.

The project began on January 13, 2022, and was fully completed on June 26, 2023, surpassing the original completion date of May 2, 2027 by nearly a year, or over 300 days. At the project handover ceremony, Nanta emphasized the achievement, noting that the new academic block includes three classrooms, a science room, a health room, and a Special Education Integration Programme (PPKI) block, accommodating 17 pupils with special educational needs.

He also mentioned ongoing construction and upgrading projects in Pahang, expressing hope that they could also be completed ahead of schedule. Nanta urged contractors to promptly handle any complaints during the defect liability period and stressed the importance of post-handover monitoring to maintain the safety and quality of the facilities.
