Nanta: Rebuild of SK Felda Kota Gelanggi 1’s dilapidated building finished 310 days ahead of schedule

The reconstruction of a dilapidated building at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Felda Kota Gelanggi 1 was finished 310 days ahead of schedule, allowing students to benefit from improved learning facilities. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced that the RM7.998 million project was completed early without any extension of time, showcasing efficient project implementation.

The project began on January 13th of the previous year and was fully completed on June 26th, 2022, more than a year ahead of the original completion date of May 2, 2027. The new academic block includes three classrooms, a science room, and a health room, along with a Special Education Integration Programme block for pupils with special educational needs.

The project would benefit 17 students with special educational needs. Nanta also mentioned that several other construction and upgrading projects in Pahang were currently underway and expressed his hope for timely completion. He urged contractors to promptly address any defects reported during the defect liability period and for the Public Works Department to conduct post-handover monitoring to ensure the facilities remain safe and meet required standards.
