JUST IN: Tinubu, Adeleke in closed-door meeting at Aso Rock Villa

President Bola Tinubu is hosting Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday evening. Adeleke's arrival, at 5:25 pm, was noted by our correspondent who observed the governor coming through the forecourt of the villa in a navy blue traditional outfit, using a walking stick, and exiting a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV.

The governor was accompanied by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. This marks Adeleke's first meeting with the President since his re-election in the Osun governorship polls held last Saturday. Adeleke's visit follows a personal call from President Tinubu congratulating him on his re-election, which the President described as "a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country."

The governor was urged to unite Osun residents irrespective of their political leanings in the election. Additional officials from Osun State, including the Director-General of Adeleke's Campaign Council, Lere Oyewumi, and a member of the Council, Sunday Bisi, arrived at the venue around 5:40 pm. Other officials spotted at the event include the Governor's Chief of Staff, Akinleye Kazeem, and Representative Bamidele Salam for the Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State.
