JUST IN: Tinubu, Adeleke in closed-door meeting at Aso Rock Villa

President Bola Tinubu received Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday evening. Adeleke arrived at 5:25 pm in a navy blue traditional outfit, walking stick, and black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. The Governor was accompanied by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. This marked the first meeting between the two since Adeleke's re-election in the gubernatorial polls on Saturday.

Tinubu had personally congratulated Adeleke via phone, praising the outcome as a testament to democracy in Nigeria and urging the governor to bring together the people of Osun regardless of their political affiliations in the election. Additional officials from Osun State arrived at the venue later, including Adeleke's Campaign Council Director-General Senator Lere Oyewumi, a Council member Mr. Sunday Bisi, Governor Adeleke's Chief of Staff Akinleye Kazeem, and Osun State lawmaker Bamidele Salam.
