FG begins construction of 250 housing units for civil servants in Gwagwalada

The Federal Government has begun building 250 housing units for civil servants in Gwagwalada, Abuja. The development was announced in a statement on the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development's website. The housing estate consists of two- and three-bedroom bungalows and is being carried out in collaboration with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

The project aims to provide affordable housing for federal civil servants while supporting the government's overall housing delivery initiatives in the Federal Capital Territory. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Housing Minister Muttaqha Rabe Darma emphasized the importance of delivering high-quality, affordable, and timely housing projects.

The ministry plans to launch several more housing projects in Abuja and Lagos between August and December, part of the government's effort to move from policies and promises to completed housing projects that improve living conditions for Nigerians.
