Egerton University launches parent portal to track students’ fees, results and accommodation

Egerton University has introduced a Parents Portal to enable parents, guardians, and sponsors to monitor their students' academic and financial information online. This new platform was announced on August 19, aiming to provide families with a direct means of staying informed about their students' progress. According to Egerton University, the portal is an "exciting opportunity for parents/guardians/sponsors to become more involved in their student(s)’ academic progress."

The Parents Portal offers several features, including a student profile, fee structure, exam results, and accommodation details. The student profile section provides basic information such as a student's registration number, academic program, and other general details held by the university. This allows parents to access essential information without depending on the student to provide it.

Additionally, the portal includes a fee structure section displaying the amount a student must pay for a specific financial period, helping parents and sponsors plan payments accordingly.

Parents and sponsors can also view their students' provisional exam results through the portal, which display a student's academic performance as recorded by the university. It is essential to note that the portal does not replace the official process for releasing final examination results.
