5 terrorists killed in intelligence-based operation in Balochistan's Panjgur

Quetta: Intelligence-led operations in Balochistan's Panjgur resulted in the death of five terrorists during Operation Raddul Fitna 3, according to security forces. Intelligence indicated the presence of terrorists planning an attack, leading to the elimination of the individuals. A significant number of weapons, ammunition, and equipment were recovered from the terrorists.

The slain militants were involved in various criminal activities, including robbery, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, targeted killings, and attacks in the region. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for disrupting the "harmful plans" of terrorists linked to Fitna-al-Hindustan, as reported by the interior ministry.

The state has designated Balochistan-based terrorist groups as Fitna-al-Hindustan to emphasize India's alleged role in terrorism and destabilization across Pakistan. Naqvi expressed pride in the security forces' actions, stating that the nation stands together against terrorism and supports the security forces. These operations mark the latest in a series of efforts to address security challenges in Balochistan, which has faced increasing instability.

In the preceding weeks, multiple terrorist attacks claimed lives, raising concerns about the security situation. According to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies' July 31 report, Balochistan's security situation deteriorated significantly in the previous month, with a 241% increase in overall deaths from 109 in June to 372 in July.

Security personnel deaths rose by 933%, from six in June to 62 in July, while terrorist deaths increased from 75 to 238. Civilian deaths also rose by 93%, from 28 to 54, and eighteen peace committee members were killed in the province.
